Align Your Values

Happy Doers! I’m so excited to share with you this week! I was inspired to create this video after seeing a talk last week put on by my friend, Alice Inoue of Happiness University. Her mentor Dr. John Demartini shared so much with us that night, it was incredible! One of the first things that resonated with me had to do with our values. It dawned on me, YOU can use this to be happier at work! Check it out and enjoy!

Celebrate Wins – Big and Small

From high-fives and woo-whoos to full blown getaways, the happiest of workplaces know how to celebrate their success. Celebration of accomplishments acknowledges the results we are getting and it helps form relationships with the people we work with. (remember – results + relationships = workplace happiness). If you’re already celebrating, tell me more about what you do! And, if you’re not, give it a try (even if it is uncomfortable) and please, let me know how it goes!

Take Care of Yourself

This week I was inspired by my own strategy to stay happy. That is the strategy of self-care – meaning exercise and nutrition.

It’s not “easy”, in fact, for me, it is one of the toughest things I have to do. I schedule, schedule, schedule so many other things and can find a million excuses too. To help with this, personally, I use an affirmation of “I am committed to my daily routines. Taking care of myself is taking care of others”. It’s so helpful for me to remember that when I exercise, I “show up” better for everyone in my life, including you!

Eliminate Excuses

Eliminating excuses helps you get results and results, paired with good relationships at work, leads to workplace happiness. This week I have to “take my own medicine” as I have been facing some challenging technical difficulties. I could have said, “next week” or “when it’s resolved I will film another video” but no, keeping my commitment to you, we have a video! It’s not perfect but it IS practical and I sure hope you enjoy it! To your happiness!
