AI and Personal Growth

AI and Personal Growth

You can be annoyed, scared, confused or whatever….or, OR you can accept it embrace it, leverage it and GROW because of it.

What is “it” you ask? Artificial Intelligence, or more commonly referred to as A.I.

It’s all about your attitude.

For real, in a series of 3 days in the last week: I had 3 separate interactions that demonstrate attitude as it related to AI:

  • A realtor who I coach, who attended a class about AI and how to use it in his business. His mind was blown and he went right into action adopting some of the recommended strategies.
  • A friend of mine who has a pet care and services company. She’s also a busy momma and hadn’t heard much re AI, but over dinner as we were talking about its capabilities, she was instantly clear about the opportunity and excited.
  • And lastly, an employee at a home improvement store this weekend who was struggling with his outdated computer who scowled and blamed AI for not fixing it.

AI is here, it HAS been here really…and it’s not going anywhere.

Since it’s all the buzz, I figured I’d talk about it too. Cuz, ya know…sometimes ya just gotta jump on the trend!

Thanks for Being Here!

The Bright Side

Instead of using the next 10 minutes of your life and mine…to make you fearful, I’m going to go the opposite route. I want you to be a believer that AI is an opportunity and can help you grow, heal, be more productive and so much more. Get you the result you want!

While there are a lot of tools out there, specifically I will be predominantly referring to ChatGPT.

Curation

Let’s start with one powerful aspect of AI: curation. AI is the ultimate curator, delivering results faster than any Google search. You can use AI to find specific books, podcasts, documentaries, or resources for personal growth. It’s like having your own personalized library at your fingertips.

Momentum

Another great use of AI is for gaining momentum. Let’s say you write regular emails to your clients. With AI, you can ask it to draft something for you, and you can iterate from there. AI can also help you summarize content, paraphrase, or highlight important information. It’s a fantastic tool for getting started and staying on track.

Leverage

Now, let’s talk about leveraging AI. We all have areas of expertise, but we often find ourselves working on tasks that are outside our genius zone. That’s where AI comes in handy. Whether it’s social media posts, writing copy, or developing systems and processes, AI can assist you and save valuable time.

Memory

Memory is another incredible benefit of AI. By using tools like Alexa or Siri, you can have them run operations, keep lists, and even remember things for you. AI learns from you, so the more you use it, the better it gets at predicting your behavior and meeting your needs.

AI-ish

While I’ve mainly focused on ChatGPT, there are other AI tools that I personally find useful. For example, Alexa provides me with the weather every morning, and it has helped me establish a new evening routine. Grammarly and Hemingway are plugins that improve my writing, and Vidyo helps me create shorter, vertical videos from longer ones.

Though not exactly AI, I also highly recommend services like Instacart and AmazonFresh for grocery shopping. They save time, keep me on budget, and prevent impulsive and unhealthy purchases.

Adapt or….

I’ll leave you with a powerful quote from Eric Hoffer, an American philosopher: ‘In a world of change, the learners shall inherit the earth, while the learned shall find themselves perfectly suited for a world that no longer exists.’ So, I encourage you to learn and experiment with AI. Befriend it and allow it to help you be more effective, whether it’s at home or in the office.

Remember, the return on investment for fear, doubt, and worry is far less than that of acceptance and adoption. Embrace AI and let it enhance your life in ways you never thought possible.
