Simple Self Growth Strategies

3 Simple Self Growth Strategies to Try Daily

Personal growth and development can, at times, feel like it’s only for people with loads of time and freedom to dedicate to it.  That’s not the case at all. Begin to implement these 3 habits each day and notice how you grow and develop.

Gratitude

This practice is one that you will regularly hear me talking about. It’s a game changer.

I recommend writing down your gratitudes, here’s how:

You’ll do 10 total. Five of them being for people, situations, circumstances, events etc that are already here.  For example: your health, family, a safe home, running water, a cool pool to take a dip in on a hot day – you get the idea!

The next five, you’ll dedicate to what you are creating in your life.  For example: your new clients who are so excited to work with you, healthy children or that amazing European vacation.

For both, really get into the spirit of what you are thankful for. Feel it. Experience it internally.

Being In Integrity With Your Word

If you’re like a lot of people I work with, your to-do list is long. Families, career, homes, health, contributing to your community – it can add up fast.

Each day, make a list of what you will accomplish. Prioritize the list. DO IT.  Keep your word.

Quickly, you will begin to see what you are committing to, where your time, money, attention, love, affection and other precious resources are going. Is that what you want? Or, did you imagine something else.  Make the necessary adjustments.

Vibe Check

Autopilot tends to be the standard in our day to day. We wake up, get ready, go to work, emails…texts, families, traffic – you know the deal. We be focused on our to-do list, getting to the next meeting or appointment that we fail to pause and understand the energy we are currently holding and putting out.

Instead of letting autopilot run. you, put some measures in place to interrupt the day to day grind and check in.  This might mean an alarm on your phone, or a sticky note on your dashboard where you intentionally check in with yourself.  How are you feeling? What’s the vibe right now? And, is that aligned with what you want it to be?  Is it aligned with what you want to create in your life? If it’s not aligned, what do you need to address and/or switch it?

This list isn’t exhaustive, I’d love to hear from you on the daily habits and practices you have that help you continue to grow and develop.  Leave a comment on my video!
